This page explains what information is handled when you use this website and the Cat Translator tool, and how it is protected.
Audio recordings
When you record or upload a cat sound, the audio is sent to our server so it can be analyzed. Recordings are stored privately, are not published on the site, and are deleted automatically after the retention period configured by the site owner (by default, 24 hours). To produce an interpretation, the audio or information derived from it may be processed by an AI service provider acting on our behalf.
Results and sharing
Interpretations may be saved to your history so you can view them later. If you choose to create a share link for a result, anyone with that link can view the shared result.
Optional information
Details about your cat, such as its name, age or breed, are optional. Please do not include personal information about yourself or others in notes.
Comments and cookies
When you leave a comment, the information in the comment form is collected along with your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. If you log in or leave a comment, the site may set cookies to remember your details. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, or ask for it to be erased, by contacting the site owner. This does not include data that must be kept for administrative, legal or security purposes.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
